Commonly ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Kristen Lanoo! You can reach her by email cherryblossomleo@gmail.com, call or text 951-427-7325.

You are welcome to share her number with your vendors. Make sure to list your vendor’s phone numbers on your questionnaire, so she can reach them if need be!

  • Most couples provide a bus for transporting guests from Hood River to MHOF then back to town at the end of the night. Round trip transportation is only required for groups of 150 guests or more. Providing transportation home is required for all weddings. Plan on 1/3 - 1/2 of your guests utilizing the ride home if you are only providing it one way. (This quantity is what you should get a quote for).

Buses can only make one trip, so you need to plan for the appropriate amount of buses for guests that will be transported. Buses generally swoop guests at a pick up point such as a hotel and depart at 3pm to arrive at the Farm at 3:30pm, (no earlier). Pick up is at the Apple House at 10pm, so we stage the buses around 9:45pm. Buses cannot stay on the property during the event, so they usually wait down at the country store.

  • If you are interested to rent a parking lot reach out to michael@treebird.farm (downtown parking lot) or the Hood River Chamber of Commerce (port parking lot) to inquire about their lot options.

  • It's best that they arrive between 6:30-7p. (After all the guests have entered the apple house and are eating dinner). They can park next to the apple house and run an extension cord to the south storage closet (Kristen will meet and direct them!). Dessert should be ready to serve around 7:45p.

Please make sure you list them and their phone number on your questionnaire and that they have Kristen's phone number.

  • Early departure can be coordinated with Kristen, your day-of-coordinator. Advance booking of departure transportation is highly recommended. Please keep in mind that the bar starts closing at 9:15pm. Clients are required to provide some form of alternate transportation home for guests who may have had too much to drink (Uber does not operate here!). Transportation is only required both ways if there are over 150 guests.

  • Absolutely, all vehicles need to be picked up by 10am the following day sharp or a late fee will be incurred for the extra labor.

  • You are welcome to shop around, but we recommend eventinsuracenow.com. You need a $1mil liability policy with Mt Hood Organic Farms listed as an additionally insured. Make sure the property damage limit is a minimum of $250,000. Proof of insurance is required to be submitted to Brady (mthoodorganicfarms@gmail.com) no later than 1 month before your wedding date.

  • Due to space and plumbing limitations, up to 8 members of the bridal party (including vendors) may utilize the Carriage House and 8 members of the Groom's party in the Cottage for dressing and ceremony preparations. Larger wedding parties should come dressed and the arrival time should be adjusted to accommodate. The bride, groom, and a couple of helpers may still arrive at 1 p.m. for photo purposes.

  • We strongly recommend hiring a DJ or band to bring a PA and mics for your ceremony. Ceremony readings will have a wired mic and the officiant will have a wireless mic. Your music vendor will set the mics up at the ceremony then move them to the Apple House for the reception.

  • Absolutely! However, clients are responsible for the materials and setup on the rehearsal or ceremony day. The venue does not permit flat-laying materials, the chuppah must be constructed with 4 leg posts. Alternatively, setup can be coordinated with the florist if clients coordinate the set up and construction materials. Metal materials are not permitted on the grass, please ensure only wood or staking are used for construction.

  • Head tables can fit a maximum of 8 people due to space constrictions. We definitely recommend a smaller head table or a sweetheart table to encourage your guests to come up and shower you with all the love. You’re the start of the show on your big day after all!

  • We are happy to accommodate children at your big day! It’s highly recommended that all small children be seated with their guardians. For groups of 20+ “big kids”, Ginger will provide a dedicated dining table with fruit and quesadillas at the salads course in the courtyard. We can provide an activity table, but couples will need to provide the activities, coloring materials, games, and/or butcher paper for coloring on tables. Riverhood Rentals also rents out yard games if interested.

  • The Apple House is the only place that allows for comfortable dancing with the temperature controls.

  • There is no WiFi the garden, but there is WiFi in the Apple House!
